The Power Distribution in Greater Noida is being managed by Private Sector since 1994. A 400 KV substation is to be commissioned by March 2005 in Greater Noida City.
Further, uninterrupted, quality power is a surety in Greater Noida on account of 2 major generation capacities in the vicinity of Greater Noida area.
- NTPC 1750 MW Plant at Dadri.
- Gas Based, Combined Cycle Power Plant being set up by "Reliance Energy" at a distance of 10 km. Of which the first phase is to be operational by 2006.
Greater Noida is the only region in North India where a company in the private sector participation is doing the distribution. The Noida Power company (NPCL) has already taken up systems up gradation with a view to ensure quality and uninterrupted power supply to industries for 24 hours, connections given within 15 days and complaints attended within 30-60 minutes.

Telecom

Greater Noida can appropriately be called real smart and wired city when it comes to telecommunication facilities in the region. The city is connected to National Telecom Network on optical fibre cable and digital microwave system. There are 3 fully electronic exchanges are fully functional. There is an earth station at STPI in place at close-by Noida. There also is a state-of-the-art high-speed data communication services including leased line connectivity and optic fibre backbone network. (Reliance Infocomm , TATA Teleservices, RPG Enterprises, Power Grid Corporation have already laid OFC cable in the area). Broadband connectivity of 650 MBPS has been provided for already. The entire city is being wired by OFC cable for Internet, Cable T.V, E-commerce & E-governance services.

In addition to the ground water, 85 cubic cms of Ganga water is proposed to be provided in Greater Noida.

Allotments for Petrol Pumps along with Convenio stores have been made along major arterial roads at a distance of 2 kms.

For a safe and secure neighbourhood, Greater Noida has taken several initiatives:
- Private Security has been provided by the Greater Noida Authorities.
- Round the clock patrolling.

Sewerage and Drainage System
Sewerage and Drainage system of Greater Noida are superior from the other cities. They are wide, covered/underground. The city also has well designed 100 percent for Sewerage and Drainage Network.

Solid Waste Management
Solid Waste collection and Mechanical Sweeping of the city has already been privatised and the Solid Waste landfill site will be privatised shortly. Operation and Maintenance of water supply and sewerage network is also to be privatised very soon. The master plan of Greater Noida warrants only non-polluting industries to come up in the locality as a result discharge of toxic waste.
Solid waste management at Greater Noida has been designed on the basis of 'segregation at source', segregating biodegradable and non-degradable at source only.

Recreation and Clubs
The area has been developed with emphasis on development of recreational green areas such as Golf Course, clubs, nature gardens, night safari (in the pipeline). The membership of the golf course and the clubs is available for the residents of the area. There is ample space for holding conferences, conventions etc. The city also has Stellar Gymkhana, Heritage club, Sports complex, Amusement Park (232 acres) and various recreational Centers.
