January 1991, Greater Noida Industrial Development Authority is constructing a model
integrated industrial township in the close vicinity of the National Capital Territory Of
Delhi and in the immediate proximity of Noida, which is one of the largest industrial
townships of Asia. |

Greater
Noida has been planned on the grid iron concept and employs state-of-the-art
technology in Engineering, Urban Planning and Architecture. Significantly, it
conceptualizes the needs of a fast developing city of the future. The Action Plan and
approach compares well with international standards and is aimed at providing rapid
momentum to the growth of the industrial sector both in the state of Uttar Pradesh and the
country. The development of the city has created infrastructure & facilities for a
population of 3 Lakhs by year 2001 and aims to create infrastructure for a
population of 6 lakhs by year 2003. |
