The Research and Development Centre of Bharat Petroleum will be first of its kind in India, the first phase of this R&D Centre would be completed in two years, a large chunk of the area is under green cover like the Indian Oil Corporation in Faridabad. Out of the following four short-listed sites- Mumbai, Kanpur, Greater Noida and Pune.

The area very soon would also be having residential area for its employees and the construction activity has already started. Investment worth around Rs. 245 crores have already been made.
